Four steps to bring the energy back to Christmas:
- • 1. Briefing: the master of ceremonies introduces the story, the rules and the mission at the meeting point.
- • 2. Teams: participants form groups of 5 to 6 people wearing hats of the same colour.
- • 3. Stations: costumed hosts set the challenges at different points around the city centre.
- • 4. Restoration: each challenge completed recovers a piece of the Christmas system and brings the team closer to the final goal.
The exact location of each station is adjusted to each event, the chosen city and the conditions of the public space.
Characters in the city
Each encounter brings the story onto the street and turns every clue into a scene:
- • Hacker Elf: cybersecurity specialist; hands out codes, digital clues and the first access to the factory.
- • Engineer Sparky: in charge of the technology systems; runs the circuit and defusing challenges.
- • Mrs Claus: guides the teams and keeps the fragments of the master plan.
- • Costumed hosts: they go with each team and bring the story to life at every station.
Defusing: Protocol Noel
One of the star challenges is cooperative: the team has to stop the countdown and restore the central system. One participant, wearing virtual reality goggles, sees the device; the rest of the team has the paper manuals. The person in the goggles describes what they see and the others interpret the instructions.
Only precise communication can stop the countdown. It is a theatrical and safe challenge, designed so that the whole team takes part.
The teams will also find hidden augmented reality clues at points along the route, ciphers, sequences and mechanisms that open up the next station, and the pieces of the master plan that have to be connected to restore the factory.
