Our cars are not simple toys; they are a marvel of engineering and design. Unique in Europe, this full-size vehicle is built entirely from building block pieces and is big enough for an adult to sit comfortably inside. The challenge we set the teams is as ambitious as it is exciting: build it from scratch.
To adapt to each group's specific needs and guarantee a fun and personalised team building experience, we have four models of block car.
Three activities, one shared goal: building the car
Building the car is no simple task, we can't make it that easy for you… To get the pieces they need, teams will have to complete different fun activities. These can be several of the following three exciting challenges, or you can choose the ones that best fit the goals of the activity. Whichever you choose, we guarantee they will test their skills in different areas:
1. Lego games: letting creativity loose
With this option we keep the Lego building block theme: participants will face a series of Lego building challenges that will test their creativity, lateral thinking and ability to work as a team. These activities can include:
- The tallest tower: teams will have to split up and think strategically to build the tallest tower, but to get the pieces they will have to use… chopsticks!
- Cooperative chain reaction: teams must create a structure and get a small metal ball to travel through the whole construction without stopping, from start to finish.
- Impossible bridge: Building a bridge that must hold a set weight using only Lego pieces.
These games are fun and they also encourage effective communication, problem-solving and collaboration, key elements of fun team building activities that work.
2. TECH CHALLENGES: THE FUTURE OF TEAM BUILDING
At Acuilae we believe in bringing in the most advanced technology to create unique team building experiences. In this stage, teams will face challenges that include:
- Virtual Reality (VR): Participants will have to complete missions in a virtual environment.
- Augmented Reality (AR): Using mobile phones or tablets, teams will solve puzzles and find clues in a digitally augmented real world.
- Live 3D printing: As an extra option, teams can watch some of the car's special parts being printed in real time, adding an educational element about advanced manufacturing technologies.
These tech challenges add a "wow" factor to the experience and also familiarise participants with emerging technologies, making the activity a truly fun and educational team building.
3. Traditional team building
We haven't forgotten the power of classic team building activities. If what you want is a more traditional fun activity, we can offer that option too. Some of our activities include giant Jenga, archery, building towers as a team, etc.
The final race: may the best team win!
After getting through all the activities and collecting the pieces they need, the high point of the experience arrives: building the car and then racing it. Teams will have to apply everything they learned in the earlier stages to assemble their vehicle efficiently.
Once the build is complete, we organise an exciting race where the teams compete against each other in the cars they have built. This moment is the culmination of all their effort and also a chance to celebrate the team's achievements and reinforce the bonds created during the activity.
